There is a SPECIAL event being held at the Tri State Convention Center in McDonald ,TN, the dates are September 15,16,17,18, from 9am to 5 pm, Thursday through Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday. We are offering testing for the following AKC titles: Farm Dog, CGC Titles and Tricks Tiles except Tricks Elite. . Once you have made your choice please send an email to sjcaninecoaching@gmail, under the CONTACT tab, with 1 date & time & 2 alternative dates & time you would like your tests scheduled please include your phone number in email so we may contact you. In the event the AKC Dog Show is cancelled, We will credit your card or shred your check. You can make payment the day of testing if you choose to drop in. All drop ins will have to wait for scheduled appointments.
Farm Dog is a AKC title open to all breeds of canines, You and your canine will be tested on a series of 12 exercises normally found in a farm environment. There will be livestock (who are always penned to avoid any altercations); working on and around hay bales, food, walking around and over unusual surfaces, noise distraction such as tractors, generators or leaf blowers.. There is no herding involved. The goal is to exhibit self control and confidence in the handler & canine. AKC CGC Certification
Canine Good Citizen Advance, CGCA, is the next AKC title in the CGC program. AKC Community Canine (CGCA) is all about having a well-behaved canine in the community. There are 10 skill sets you and your canine must pass. This test will be held in real life environment, like a busy sidewalk or a local park.
AKC CGCA Certification
Canine Good Citizen Urban, CGCU, is the last AKC title in the CGC program. You and your canine will demonstrate skills learned in a city or town environment, such as crowds, noises, smells and textures to name a few. This test includes 10 skill sets you must pass to show that you and your canine are well-behaved and mannered when in a populated area.
