About Your Next Favorite Canine Coach
Sharen and Quinn, a soft coated wheaten terrier moved to the south in fall of 2014.
Sharen has been parenting her fur kids since she was a small child. They were her playmates, always with her and her friends. Her canine playmates agreed to play dress up, ride in her doll carriages, buggies, and wagons, and follow her parents’ household rules. She brushed their teeth, taught them to eat off silverware, and played games. They even had parts in plays she wrote when she was in grade school. They were always considered weirdly well behaved by neighbors, friends and family. Blending the parenting concept with several traditional training techniques, and non-traditional coaching techniques has made that possible. She now wants to share her experience with others through canine coaching.
She has shared her life with a golden retriever, Pekingese, cocker spaniels, cock-a-poos, Yorkies, cats, rats, hamsters, and a horse, (commonly referred to as the largest lap dog ever.)
She currently parents a soft coated wheaten terrier, which has titles as a Champion, Grand Champion, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Canine Good Citizen Urban, Therapy Dog Excellent, AKC Tricks Performer, Neutral dog for testing dogs for therapy work, and Rally Novice. Quinn is also a member of a HOPE Animal Assisted Crisis Response Team.
Quinn and Sharen test and observe canines and humans to become Therapy Dog Teams as well as provide therapy to a variety of populations. Quinn and Sharen have been a therapy dog team for 4+ years and a Hope Animal Assisted Crisis Response team member 2+ years for. Also, Sharen and Quinn have taught classes at a local obedience club.
Sharen would like to pass her knowledge onto canine owners to insure a well balanced canine and household.

Quinn has AKC titles - Grand Champion, Champion, Rally Novice, Therapy Dog Novice, Therapy Dog, Therapy Dog Advanced, Therapy Dog Excellent, Therapy Dog Distinguished, Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Urban, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Tricks Novice, Tricks Intermediate, Tricks Advanced, Tricks Performer and Farm Dog Title.
Atrey, Trey for short, is a new addition. He is a Lowchen and is 8 months old. He has received his AKC STAR Puppy title, Trick Novice, Trick Intermediate, Trick Advance tiles and Virtual Home Manners title. s Trick Advance titles, Virtual Home Manners title, CGC Title and Farm Dog title.
JoAnne has been a volunteer at an Obedience Club for over 6 years. She teaches CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and Therapy Dog Classes. She has helped teach Beginner Obedience and Advance Puppy classes. She has also been involved with a Veterans Class to help Veterans train their dogs as Service Dogs.
JoAnne has 3 dogs, Shaonia, Shawnee and Sophie. Her 2 dogs, Shaonia and Sophie, have been Therapy Dog Teams, volunteering for 5+ years. Shaonia is an accomplished therapy dog with Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Canine Good Citizen Urban, Therapy Dog Novice, Therapy Dog, Therapy Dog Advanced, Therapy Dog Excellent, Therapy Dog Distinguished and AKC Tricks Novice titles. Sophie has been a Therapy Dog for 5 years.
JoAnne has been around animals all her life. She started at young age working along side her parents with the Humane Society in OH, including rescuing and re-homing large and small animals. There were a variety of animals on their small farm. She had responsibilities for caring for these animals and found it was easier when she coached them into following her directions.

Shaonia is an American Staffordshire Terrier. Shaonia has ACK titles in Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Urban, Canine Citizen Advanced, Therapy Dog Novice, Therapy Dog, Therapy Dog Advanced, Therapy Dog Excellent, Therapy Dog Distinguished and Tricks Novice.
Shawnee is an American Staffordshire Terrier. She is 5 years old. She had her Rally Novice Title. She love to go for rides in the Jeep and she loves being outside hiking in the mountains or going to the beach
Sophie is 12 years old Springer Spaniel. She love the air conditioning. She retired from Therapy Dog work 2018. She was a Therapy Dog for about 4 years and she loved it. Sophie crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Sabrina is the newest addition to our family. She is a Boston Terrier. She is 9 months old now. She has received her AKC STAR Puppy title, Trick Novice, Trick Intermediate, Trick Advance titles, Virtual Home Manners title, CGC Title and Farm Dog title.
